A party will be held between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2007, at the ELTTOB TEP store. Under the direction of graphic designer Taku Satoh the store has been transformed into space decorated with Christmas atmosphere for the day. Partygoers can enjoy drinks, finger food, and live music.
ELTTB TEP’s original USB memory sticks will be given to the first 300 customers who purchase 10,000 yen or more worth of products on the day (one for each customer).

The theme of the Spring/Summer 2008 Collection of PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE is “School.” New items with the December theme of “music” appeared in the store. The “music” produced by PLEATS PLEASE will also boost the party’s mood.

“NAOKI TAKIZAWA” is a new brand by Naoki Takizawa, who previously served as creative director for ISSEY MIYAKE until the Spring/Summer 2007 Season.
This brand targets women with urban taste who maintain an active and organic-oriented lifestyle. This brand collection has three characteristics: its “brand color, indigo”; its “functionality”; and its “high-tech fabrics, which are finely-woven and delicate.”

The brand’s pre-collection, which appeared in the ELTTOB TEP store in November, is emphasizing functional clothing such as lightweight coats that are wrinkle-free and water-repellent, and cut-and-sewn tops that are comfortable and excellent for all-purpose use.

- SHAPE MEMORY COAT -
This coat is made of strong, densely-woven fabric with a water-repellent finish. Aside from being water-resistant, the material has a shape-memory and features easy wrinkle removal. Great for travel use.

- COTTON CUPRO -
This is a soft, cut-and-sewn garment suitable for all occasions and is perfect for both casual and formal wear.

- SILK WOOL JERSEY -
This garment is comfortable to wear, characterized by its blend of the moisture-retaining qualities of wool and the softness and shine of silk.

- FLOWER STORM SATIN -
The patterns of this product line are inspired by Edo-period tie-dyed kimono dresses and adopt the traditional Kyoto technique used for Yuzen kimono dresses.

Ahead of the arrival of Christmas, ISSEY MIYAKE WATCH has launched new colors for its “TWELVE” and “TRAPEZOID” line designed by Naoto Fukasawa.

The “TWELVE” line is characterized by its simple, robust design. All numbers have been eliminated from the face, and in their place the crystal case itself has been cut into twelve sides. This new model with a light gray cowskin straps has now arrived for both the ladies and men’s lines.

The “TRAPEZOID” line, as its name suggests, has been inspired by the image of a rotating trapezoid shape. The numbers on the side of the bezel are elongated so as to be readable normally when viewed from the front. A new, masculine-looking model with a black face, bezel, and strap has now been added to our range of existing models.
