A window display featuring works by Didier Ahadsi, one of the artists leading the world of contemporary art in West Africa, will be on view from December 8 (Thu). He cuts out scenes from everyday life in Africa, his homeland, with a unique perspective of irony and humor, and creates works of art using tin materials such as waste cans and vivid acrylic colors.
The works are not only fun to look at, but also offer the enjoyment of allowing the viewer to picture the story behind each of the scenes.
Didier Ahadsi
Didier Ahadsi was born in 1970. He worked as an automotive sheet metal worker for six years from 1992, and became independent as an artist in 2000. He held his first exhibition in 2007 at Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

In thanks for our customers’ support this year, we are planning to hold a live music event for the Christmas season.
On November 13 (Sun), an event entitled The Sound of Healing by Daniel Coughlin begins from 8:00 pm. Daniel Coughlin, an acoustic guitarist, will perform live in the store, which will be filled with the atmosphere of Christmas.
Seat reservations are necessary for this event. Please see below for details.

Daniel Coughlin
Daniel Coughlin is an acoustic guitar player originally from Fukushima Prefecture. He actively plays a variety of roles in many quarters, such as playing in halls, restaurants and various events, and as a composer and arranger in charge of music for TV programs and stage plays. He is also a street musician with the official recognition of the government of Tokyo, referred to as a “heaven artist,” and gives free live performance at various locations in Tokyo.

Kyou Mo Ikiteiru-Yokattane (Good! We’re Alive Now), a special exhibition of works by Seitaro Kuroda held in SEMBA store in August and in GINZA store until November 9 (Wed), shows 60 pieces of work by Seitaro Kuroda, expressing his hope to make the people who visit the exhibition think about life. T-shirts featuring five pieces of his work from among these are on sale from October 13 (Thu).
