The May lineup from ISSEY MIYAKE and ISSEY MIYAKE FÊTE focuses on the Olympic Games. The world of the Olympics being held this year will be expressed by using motifs such as stadiums, audience, the colors of five Olympic rings and medals. The products will further boost the Olympic mood, reaching a climax towards the start of the Games.

** FINAL HOME **
- If I were to lose my home due to such reasons as a disaster, war or unemployment, what kind of clothes would I suggest as a designer, and what would such clothes look like in peacetime? -
Designer Kosuke Tsumura asked himself this question, and then created this coat in response. Starting with this coat, the “FINAL HOME” project tackles the theme of “creating clothes conducive to comfortable urban life comfortably,” and is suggesting items with excellent functionality and design.
ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE has readied many lineups of “FINAL HOME” products, including the standard coat introduced here.

Designer: Kosuke Tsumura
Kosuke Tsumura launched the “FINAL HOME” brand in 1994 and participated in the Paris Collection for the first time. Various women’s products have also been among the brand’s lineup since 2005. While it is a fashion brand, it is engaged in various activities beyond the framework of a mere apparel brand, such as presentations at exhibitions around the world and the creation of items through collaboration with creators in other industries as well as artists.

* FINAL HOME *
This is a coat designed within the context of “clothes that meet the needs of the wearer.” It can be used as winter clothing, as it is capable of keeping out the cold by way of stuffing newspaper inside the pockets, and it can be turned into an evacuation suit in times of emergency by way of keeping emergency rations and medical kits in the pockets. The brand name “FINAL HOME” was taken from the original name of this coat, referring to one’s “ultimate home.”
